Snicker Snack

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird,
and shunThe frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Lewis Carol - 1872

Ahh, if only all poetry were like that. Continuing on our poetry for our literature exam, and i hate it T - T it's oh so tedius. And I was (secretly) reading Alice in Wonderland -- well, "Through the looking glass; and What Alice found there" ;p. And i found what i wouldn't of expected: The Jabberwocky. I love that poem to bits! we did it in year five. When all the little kids said "Whaaaaat?" I was sat there reading it with glee. It just brought back so many memories! So now i can't get it off my mind.

Suprised I remebered this, wouldn't usually. I have JUST finished getting flour out of my hair, which my friend kindly "gave" me during food tech, i also highly appriciate the half a lemon that was in my coat pocket. I got her back though >D

I hope your reading this stalker, i'm doing it for you <3
